Thank you to all our regular customers inquiring about booking a stay in Fernie at the Cornerstone Lodge. We value your continued support and patience as Cornerstone Lodge works with the community and province in addressing Covid-19.
As with all of our tourism partners in the community and the province, we are asking travelers to help flatten the curve, now, so that we can safely travel when ready, this winter season.
As of Monday December 7, 2020 the BC Government has continued with its restrictions, valid now until January 8, 2021. The restrictions related to travel and visitation includes:
- ORDER – Masks mandatory in public indoor spaces, this includes common areas, retail and dining (but not at your table when eating/drinking). Exemptions for those with health conditions (can’t wear one), those who can’t put a mask on independantly and for children under 12 years of age.
- Travel Advisory – BC Government stipulates that non-essential travel should be avoided until after January 8th. This includes travel into and out of B.C. and between regions of the province. For example: do not travel to visit friends or family outside of your household or core bubble. Consider postponing your trip instead of cancelling. Hotels and resorts are working hard to accommodate guests impacted by COVID-19.
- ORDER – No social gatherings, must limit to immediate household (exception for single person households). Special important gatherings of up to 10 for funerals/weddings etc allowed if protocols followed and safety plan developed and available.
- ORDER – No events/gatherings where people come together from different households (ie. original rule of up to 50 people not supported).
