We stayed here for a few days over the New Years period, and overall liked the room.
The location is ideal – better ski in/out than anywhere else on the hill. The room we stayed in – the Premium Two Bedroom Suite – was really wonderful (as it should be for the price!), with huge amounts of space, very comfortable beds, well-outfitted kitchen, and a lovely living room. The building itself is “self-serve” (no front desk), but the staff were always available if we phoned with a question or request. The underground parkade and ski lockers were also great. Great value for accommodations.

Stayed on mountain as opposed to in town. 7 minutes away.

Would be even better once spa, gym and sauna open again.

The room was very large and perfect for our group of 6!

 

Great stay

We were just here for a wedding and it was all we could have hoped for. This place is perfect for a family or friend trip and I couldn’t rec’d it more. The scenery is second to none and we really enjoyed having the ability to have the kitchen. If I go back to Fernie I will definitely be staying here.

 

Best ski in/out condo

We went there during weekdays, and got a deal for this amazing condo unit. It is worth every penny you paid and has lots of storage places. It is in very convenient location right beside lift chairs and I can cook my own meal easily after ski runs. The management of Cornerstone Lodge is very helpful, they started communicating with me right after we booked condo. I would recommend Cornerstone Lodge to all my friends.

 

Closest possible accommodation to the lifts

Cornerstone lodge is truly only steps from the lifts which was perfect to be able to stop for lunch and change gear if necessary without missing out on ski time. The room was spacious and comfortable. Kitchen could have been stocked a bit better – we were short of baking sheets and knives, but were able to make most of our meals in our room. The balcony was a nice touch for enjoying apres ski bevvies. Nice to have 2 bathrooms and lots of room in each bedroom. We would definitely stay here again.

 

Extremely Accommodating

My friend and I stayed at the Cornerstone Lodge on a Sunday night while in Fernie. The front desk was extremely accommodating with my late check in, as my friend and I had a rafting activity leaving when we were due to check in. I was really impressed with the cleanliness of the both the The Griz (where we checked in) and Cornerstone Lodge; I’ve stayed at many hotels that don’t put a lot of effort into that so it was nice to see that they hold themselves to such high standards here. Our condo was absolutely breathtaking; it had vaulted ceilings and our balcony faced the mountain which was perfect for the meteor shower. Air conditioning was an added bonus as we hit high 30s this weekend. Conveniently, there’s a Kelsey’s restaurant right there on site; our server was very polite and our food arrived quickly and was amazing. I would definitely recommend this lodge to anyone visiting or passing through Fernie!

 

 

 

Exceptional – 9.6 out of 10

The view was fantastic. Near town and room was very satisfying and comfy. Only negative was that we didn’t have more time to explore.

 

No lunch packing required!

This was my family’s first time at Fernie and first time ski-in/ski-out experience. It was wonderful. We stayed in a 2 bedroom premium suite which had everything needed. No it’s not granite counter tops or stainless steel appliances but it’s clean and comfortable. The best part for me as the mother…the room was steps away from the ski hill. If we got cold or hungry it was right there. I didn’t have to pack lunches. One thing I’ll do for next time though is request a room that doesn’t overlook the chairlift. Our mornings were off to a pretty early start with the snow cats driving by and the pre-morning lift activities. All in all, one of our best family vacations!

Location location location……..need I say more? OK great rooms and facilities adjacent to an awesome playground, if you like skiiing that is……can’t wait to go back.
